Once upon a time (or in the early 2000s), web-designer-turned-fashion-designer Stacey Bendet was searching for the perfect pair of pants. Armed with the creativity of a well-seasoned designer and the desire to make something amazing, Stacey set to work. Alice + Olivia is her brainchild – a brainchild that grew into a 50 million dollar brand at a most alarming rate.
The Alice + Olivia brand is simultaneously cool, edgy and chic. The clothing personifies a way of life and provides a costume for a lifestyle. Built around a classic base of A + O essentials, there are a million ways to assemble the perfect wardrobe for day and night.
Over time, the label has grown to include party dresses, elaborate t-shirts and sweaters. Recently Alice + Olivia has also expanded into scarves, jewelry and other accessories. The Alice + Olivia brand now includes a women’s line, men’s line and a children’s line. It can be found at Barney’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus and is a favorite of Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie.
