Bobbi Brown graduated from Boston’s Emerson College with a degree in theatrical makeup. Shortly thereafter Bobbi moved to New York City to work as a professional makeup artist. Since then, Bobbi has dominated magazine covers and fashion shows, and serves as the exclusive beauty editor of The Today Show. From the beginning, Bobbi did what many makeup artists did not; she encouraged moderation and a more natural palette. This approach took the world by storm and made her a household name. The Bobbi Brown brand of makeup and skin care was released in 1991 at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City. Due to its overwhelming success among women who appreciate high-end makeup, Estee Lauder purchased the company in 1995.
