Fendi
Fendi is a family business, begun by Edoardo and Adele Fendi in Rome and expanded by their five daughters in 1945. Initially Fendi was a fur and leather shop; however it eventually expanded into fragrances, eyewear, watches and luggage. In the 60s, Fendi was introduced to the United States when Bloomingdale’s began carrying the label. Other outlets were quick to follow and today Fendi has a large store on New York’s Fifth Avenue, in addition to several Fendi boutiques worldwide.
Fendi is a label that was built on quality and centered on unique creations, fashioning sophisticated womenswear and tastefully tailored menswear. The brand has continually reformed their treatment of fur and leather in an attempt to offer lower priced furs without sacrificing the quality of the end product. Fendi is known worldwide for their unapologetic extravagance and ability to create the most coveted “it” bags of superstars and style-watchers alike.
Celebrities spotted in Fendi apparel include Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Paris Hilton and Mary Kate Olsen. Fendi is available at most Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Barneys New York stores.
