Most Americans are already familiar with Salvatore Ferragamo. If not by name, by work: Mr. Ferragamo was the man responsible for Dorothy’s amazing red heels in “The Wizard of Oz”. Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and Sophia Loren are other legendary stars who proudly wore the designer. Salvatore was a true visionary when it came to women’s shoes – he approached each design with a meticulous and analytical mind. When paired with his seemingly effortless creativity, the result was amazing shoe innovations such as the wedge heel and cage heel.
Over time, Ferragamo has expanded into men’s and women’s wear collections, eyewear, perfume and silk accessories.
