A person would be hard-pressed to find a woman who did not recognize the Armani name. Armani has been called the most successful Italian designer (over fellow Italians such as Gucci, Fendi and Versace). He was also notably the first designer to ban models with a body mass index under 18, after Brazilian fashion model Ana Carolina Reston died from anorexia.
