Haight Ashbury District - San Francisco
This once groovy neighborhood famous throughout the 1960s and 1970s for free love and psychedelic experiences has retained a semblance of its bohemian charm. Quaint old Victorian homes line the streets, melding unexpectedly with kaleidoscopic murals leftover from the Summer of Love. The Haight-Ashbury district, or the Haight as it is affectionately called, is cuddled up against Golden Gate Park, Western Addition, and the Castro district among others. Both carry men’s and women’s styles, and may just have the most unique and hard to find shoe brands in all of San Francisco.
