Southlands Mall - Aurora
Southlands is the newest shopping destination of the southeast Denver metropolitan area. Designed as a classic American town, Southlands Mall features several blocks of upscale retail shopping and offices along Aurora’s new Main Street, which culminates in the Town Square anchored by a 16-screen theatre and numerous upscale restaurants. The Town Square is a block-sized area featuring splash fountains for the kids and a Farmer’s Market twice-weekly during the warmer months. In the winter, the square is covered with an ice-skating rink, and the holiday lights and artwork feature the works of Norman Rockwell. Whether it is the lush flowers and landscaping of summer, or the cheerful holiday decorations and lights, Southlands is always dressed to the nines.
The perimeter around Main Street at Southlands features the “big box” home, clothing, shoes, pets and department stores and restaurants, a hotel, and more, all in the self-contained little town. Parking at Southlands is free and plentiful – either on Main Street or behind the stores. Shoppers will enjoy the music either from the Southland Bells (think old-fashioned church bells) or from the speakers cleverly hidden amongst the landscaping.
